A huge night for American Television.

The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards were in L.A. on Monday night, with the who’s who of the US TV industry gathered to celebrate all things TV – with the evening presented by the father-son duo Eugene and Dan Levy.

Shogun was the big winner of the night taking home 18 Emmys, including Outstanding Drama Series, with Hiroyuki Sanada receiving Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama.

And Anna Sawai won Outstanding Lead Actress, making Emmy history, becoming the first Asian actress to win the Lead Drama Category.

The Bear won 11 Emmys, breaking the record the show set last year for most wins in the comedy category - with actor Jeremy Allen White, Ebon Moss Bacharach, and Liza Colon-Zayas all winning their categories.

This was the 2nd consecutive Emmy win for Jeremy Allen White for Lead in a Comedy.

Hacks was the shock win of the night, defeating The Bear for overall Outstanding Comedy Series.

The limited series Baby Reindeer won 6 Emmys including Richard Gadd for Best Actor and Jessica Gunning winning Best Supporting Actress.

Jodie Foster won her first-ever Emmy for lead actress in the limited series True Detective: Night Country – which she also directed.

And Aussie’s own Elizabeth Debicki picked up the Emmy for Best Actress in a Drama Series for her portrayal of Princess Diana in The Crown.

There were a slew of guest presenters on the night, including Ron Howard and Henry Winkler celebrating 50 years of Happy Days.

Plus, the lead actors of Only Murders in the Building, Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, and Martin Short.
