There's calls for more safety measures along a stretch of Sixty Eight Road in Baldivis where three young men died this week.

In the four years to 2022, there were 21 crashes on Sixty Eight Road, two of them fatal and four causing serious injuries.

Speaking on 9News, local resident Andy Kerr said the road has become a crash hotspot.

"Every since they changed the road when they did the development it's never been safe...the road is not done properly, there's a couple of really bad kinks in the road and it's caught people out before," he said.

Premier Roger Cook said more needs to be done to prevent crashes from happening along the notorious road.

"These are old country roads that are increasingly becoming built up as the sub-divisions are Baldivis take hold," he said.

"Certainly, I think traffic management, traffic calming is something which needs to be considered in that precinct."

Baldivis local Dina King said it's not just the road that causes the accidents but the drivers as well.

"It's used as a racetrack," she told 9News.

"It's 60km/h and you're always hearing cars speeding."

Jaziah Thomas, 24, was driving an Audi A3 along Sixty Eight Road when it ploughed into a Kia Stinger just after 5pm on Wednesday.

The young father died at the scene. while Kody Bell, 24, who was also a father and his brother William Bell, 21, also lost their lives in the horrific crash.

Their friend, 21-year-old Tyler Rowe, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

The 44-year-old female driver of the Kia suffered minor injuries.

Police say the investigation into what caused the crash could take weeks, but they will be looking at a number of factors including speed, alcohol and whether the men were wearing seatbelts.
