Dwellingup has taken out silver in the Tiny Town category at the Top Tourism Town Awards.

It’s the fourth consecutive year the town has been recognised as one of Western Australia’s best destinations, having won gold in 2021 and 2023, and silver in 2022.

It also follows last year’s national win, when Dwellingup was crowned Australia’s Top Tiny Tourism Town 2023.

The awards recognise and reward towns across WA that demonstrate a strong commitment to encouraging tourism and increasing visitation to the destination.

Winners were announced on Tuesday night at the 2024 Perth Airport Tourism WA Regional Tourism Conference Dinner in Mandurah.

Shire of Murray President David Bolt said it is wonderful to see Dwellingup continue to receive the well deserved recognition.

“I would like to thank everyone in Dwellingup’s tourism industry for the passion you all apply in making it such a stand-out place to visit. This award is a testament to your efforts, congratulations to you all,” President Bolt said.

“I’d also like to thank those of you who voted for Dwellingup. For many years we have worked with the community to deliver the vision of Dwellingup’s businesses and residents. The community support through voting acknowledged these efforts and shows continue to deliver the right vision for Dwellingup."

Dwellingup is home to natural landscapes, from national parks to river trails and old-growth forests.

There is also galleries, cafes, wineries and steam train experiences.

“Our congratulations also go to Kalbarri, for taking home gold and Coral Bay for taking home bronze,” President Bolt said.
