Man charged over Henderson hit-and-run crash

A 40-year-old man has been charged over an alleged hit-and-run crash in Henderson.

Police say a white Skoda station sedan and a white single cab Toyota Hilux were involved in a collision on Cockburn Road around 9.30am on Monday, November 11.

The driver of the Hilux was allegedly under the influence of alcohol at the time.

He allegedly left the scene shortly after the crash.

The 80-year-old male driver of the Skoda suffered critical injuries and was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital.

A 40-year-old Forrestfield man has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm - under the influence of alcohol, failing to stop and ensure assistance after an incident occasioning grievous bodily harm and failing to report an incident occasioning death or grievous bodily harm.

He is due to appear before the Fremantle Magistrates Court on November 22.

The investigation remains ongoing.
