The owner of Mandurah's only cat sanctuary is selling her property and is calling on a potential buyer to take the reigns and continue her rescue.
Jacaranda Cat Sanctuary in Barragup has been operating for two years, rehoming stray and lost cats, saving them from euthanasia.
Due to health and family reasons, owner Rebecca Christensen is selling her property and moving to Perth, meaning she can no longer run the sanctuary.
Ms Christensen said without a sanctuary in the Peel region, she fears for the lives of local cats.
"It means that these little cats will have nowhere to go and it's a horrible truth but they will be euthanised," she said.
"Possibly the other rescues will take in as many as they can but we're all just so full to the brim already so I don't want to put all that pressure on the other rescues."
Ms Christensen is hoping someone will purchase her property and continue operating her sanctuary that includes a large shed and an outdoor enclosure.
"Maybe a family or a couple who would like to come in and take off where I've left it and make it bigger and better," she said.
Ms Christensen currently has about 40 cats in her care who are looking for their forever homes.
