Peel Thunder gun Bo Allan is now an Eagle after being selected by West Coast in the AFL draft.
Allan, who was tipped to be a possible top-10 selection with interest from multiple clubs, slid to pick 16 on Wednesday night, giving West Coast the chance to land the local gem.
“Very surreal. I was sitting there, the leg was going up and down. So nervous, but ultimately relieved,” Allan told westcoasteagles.com.au.
The move means Allan will be able to stay close to family and friends in Mandurah.
The 18-year-old played dozens of league games for Peel including their recent grand final win.
Allan is set to start his career training with the Eagles on Monday.
