Police continue investigation into Port Kennedy bushfire

Police are calling on the public's help as they continue their investigation into a bushfire in Port Kennedy.

The fire was started by a stolen Kia Rio being dumped and set alight on a bush track around 9.50pm on Monday, February 3.

"The fire burned for several hours and destroyed three hectares of vegetation," a WA Police spokesperson said.

Strike Force Vulcan officers urge anyone with CCTV, mobile phone or dash-cam vision of the area taken between 9pm and 11pm, to upload the vision direct to them via the link: https://wapf.au.evidence.com/axon/community-request/public/vulcan2024-25

Anyone with any information relating to this fire is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via www.crimestopperswa.com.au.  

Rewards of up to $25,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
