It's the final few weeks to experience the wonder of the 2021 Wearable Art Mandurah garments at a special exhibition at Contemporary Art Spaces Mandurah (CASM).

The CASM gallery is currently filled with a selection of extraordinary, hand-crafted garments from the 2021 competition, each on display to allow visitors to get up close and discover the materials and motivation behind them.

This is a unique opportunity to intimately view a curated selection of wearable art and fully appreciate the individual choice of materials, technical skill and imagination that make these garments so extraordinary.

The special Wearable Art Mandurah exhibition is on show until Sunday, April 3.

Close to 30 garments are featured, including the winning garments from the 2021 Wearable Art Mandurah competition.

This Sunday, March 20, a series of Artist Talks will be presented from 10:00am – 11:30am, featuring both in-person and pre-recorded insights into some of the garments on display.

Attendance at the Artist Talks is free and no registration is required.

The 2022 Showcase will be held later this year at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre.

There is still time to get involved in the 2022 competition, with entries now extended until Thursday, March 31, 2022.

Go to www.wearableartmandurah.com for entry details or contact the City’s Arts Development Officer via wearableart@mandurah.wa.gov.au or 9550 3842 for any assistance.
