Peel Thunder have cruised into their third WAFL grand final after a 24-point win over Subiaco at the weekend.
Nearly 3800 fans flocked to Mandurah's Lane Group Stadium on Sunday for the preliminary final.
Peel started strong kicking the first four goals with the side managing to hold the lead the entire game.
Ben Middleton kicked three goals for the Thunder, while Joel Hamling and Karl Worner starred in the backline.
Thunder coach Geoff Valentine said it was a huge weekend of footy and he was thrilled to get the 11.11 (77) to 7.11 (53) win against the Lions.
"It was a great day for the footy club...the boys really turned up, they played probably their best game in a prelim final all year," he said.
Valentine said their strong start gave them plenty of confidence.
"Getting out of the blocks like that and putting Subiaco under some scoreboard pressure, when they had their little runs of momentum which was always going to happen, we had a two, three, four goal buffer and the boys were strong right throughout the course of the day," he said.
The Thunder will now be preparing for the grand final with East Fremantle at Optus Stadium on Sunday, September 24.
"We'll have a recovery session tomorrow and then Thursday we'll have our main training session and then Saturday morning we have our captain's run and hopefully we'll get up on Optus oval and have some familiarisation there."
Peel lost to East Fremantle by just five points in their last encounter.
"Feeling pretty comfortable with the opposition, they're the top team, they've been the best team all year," Valentine said.
"We had a good win against them in round one and we've had a couple of close games against them throughout the season."
